7digital Was wir davon halten: In einem aktuellen Interview hat Snow Patrols Frontmann Gary Lightbody das neue Album überraschenderweise als “verwirrend” beschrieben. In Wirklichkeit passt Album Nummer sieben ziemlich perfekt in das Repertoire der nordirischen Band, nicht gerade bahnbrechende, aber von U2-inspirierte Rockballaden, bei denen es um Liebe und Humanität, sowie Selbstzweifel geht. Lightbodys Werke waren schon immer voller Zartheit und auch wenn es keine offensichtlichen Nachfolger für die gigantischen Hits Run und Chasing Cars gibt, so sind Lieder wie ‘What If This Is All The Love You Ever Get?’ doch sehr eindrucksvoll. Dies ist das erste Album seit 2011 und Snow Patrol finden wir darauf gefühlsgeladen und bereit, minimalistischer denn je zu sein.
